Connecting OctoSniff To Game Consoles: Wired To PC Guide (Recommended)

In this guide, we will provide instructions on how to utilize Octosniff through both a VPN and a standard WiFi adapter. While the wired method may be slightly more complex, it is recommended as it does not require an ARP spoofing attack.

To be noted:
This video only shows pulling for games that support decrypt, If you want to pull ips on games that don't support decrypt (ie COD, Destiny,RDR, Rainbow 6 Siege®, Fortnite etc) >CLICK HERE<
GTA V Decryption for PlayStation shown in this video is patched, you will need to use the GTA V filter and filtered games tab now for XBOX/PLAYSTATION for OctoSniff V3.
If you are using OctoSniff V4 the ips for GTA V & RDR 2 do not require a filter and will still appear in the PS Tab.



OctoSniff V4 Interface (network adapter selection) If using a vpn select your vpn adapter

Requirements:
A laptop or Desktop with a WiFi Card or 2 Lan port (ie usb to Lan and 1 default Lan Port.
1 Lan cable if using WiFi Card, Or 2 Lan cables if using Lan2Lan.
A VPN if using a VPN. (Your VPN must be using a protocol method that is not wireguard, if your VPN is using Wireguard you wont be able to get IPS simply switch the VPNs protocol via settings)


WiFi 2 Lan: Using WiFi on PC ONLY (Game Console is wired to PC)
Connect your PC and game console together with an Ethernet cable. (RJ-45) Yes, that's right, PC to Game Console, In this case, your PC will act like a router.
Enable ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on your Wireless adapter. Do this by navigating to your Network Connections
(Or shortcut with Win key+R and entering ncpa.cpl) Right-click your Wireless adapter and click "Properties", then
navigate to the Sharing Tab. Tick "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection.
(If there's only two Network Connections listed, then there shouldn't be an option to chose which adapter to share to
-- It'll do it automatically. If it tells you to select an adapter/connection, select your Ethernet adapter, then
click Ok.)
Configure your consoles' Internet Connection. When prompted, select Custom. Auto just doesn't cut it for some reason.
It will ask you for Wireless or Wired, select Wired. Everything past that CAN be auto, but don't select auto before
chosing the Wired config.
If everything worked out, you should be online and ready to go!


Lan 2 Lan: Using a wired connection from your router to PC, then from PC to console
Connect your PC to your router (Can be done via an ethernet cable, or by connecting to a switch that's connected to
your router.
Connect your console to your PC via an Ethernet Cable (and USB Ethernet Adapter, unless your PC has two LAN ports)
Enable ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on your LAN adapter (Wired Connection, Ethernet, etc). Do this by navigating
to your Network Connections (Or shortcut with Win key+R and entering ncpa.cpl) Right-click your LAN/Ethernet adapter
and click "Properties", then navigate to the Sharing Tab. Tick "Allow other network users to connect through this
computer's Internet connection. (You will most likely be using a USB Ethernet adapter to connect your PS3/4 to your
PC, if so, that's the adapter you want to share to. To identify it, it should mention "USB" below the network name.
Rename it to something you'll remember, you will use this in the future.)
Configure your consoles' Internet Connection. When prompted, select Custom. Auto just doesn't cut it for some reason.
It will ask you for Wireless or Wired, select Wired. Everything past that CAN be auto, but don't select auto before
choosing the Wired config.
